Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
* Production department of about 8 machines and about 20 men working over 3 shifts
* Reporting to the General Manager; responsible for a team of manufacturing / production supervisors and operators;
* Responsibility for the day-to-day running of a production area using machinery and part automated processes to manufacture moulded plywood and laminate furniture components;
* Organizing work to production plans to meet deadlines and maximize efficiency;
* Managing and training of supervisors and operators;
* Liasing with other staff and Departments;
* Managing and overseeing Production department and Tooling departments;
* Adherence to quality and health & safety standards;
* Act as a positive link between production teams and management

Brief description of the company
Stonebridge are a major supplier of preformed Wood components for a wide range of applications. While furniture accounts for the majority of our production, we supply an increasing amount to the manufacturing and construction Industry. Our curved components are usually produced from Birch or Beech rotary cut veneers for both show wood and upholstery quality. We also work with other materials such as Reholz 3D veneer, decorative veneer, plywood ( bent plywood and curved plywood), MDF, chipboard, laminate, cork and linoleum.
