Data Scientist (Industrial)

Play a key role in Rotating Machines predictive maintenance projects and participate in activities to implement robust, enterprise grade and future proof data analytics solutions.

You will be also responsible for the following tasks:

• Cooperate closely with Business to collect, reconcile, analyse and iterate business requirements and convert them into data science problems definitions and preliminary plans
• Participate in initial data collections, identification of data quality problems to discover first insights into the data or to detect meaningful subsets to form hypotheses for hidden information
• Perform data transformation, feature selection and data cleansing activities against raw initial data to construct final dataset for modelling
• Perform selection of relevant modelling techniques and training and testing various algorithms, evaluation accuracy and performance of different approaches to form final solution
• Participate solution handover to EA Data Engineers, IT Application & Infrastructure Operations teams
• Participate in Quality Assurance processes with dedicated attention to proper and up-to date documentation, prepare and execute CRs, conduct 3rd level support to manage lifecycle of solutions
• Participate in evaluation of suppliers/ vendors involved in enterprise analytics solutions and managing them during the implementation process to ensure professional execution

To be successful in the role, you will require the following:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in data science field
• Statistical programming languages: R, Python or Scala
• Writing SQL and No SQL queries (PL SQL, T-SQL, Hive, Impala)
• Business Intelligence platforms such as PowerBI, Qlikview or Tableau
• University/College degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Excellent English and Slovak communication skills (both written and oral)
• Rotating machines predictive maintenance experience is an advantage
• Proven experience in downstream advanced analytics project is a plus
• Proven experience with sensor data is a plus
