Job description, responsibilities and duties

Work Package Design Leader (WP DL) or Design Leader (DL) of Electrical Distribution (ED) with focus on LV technologies manages end-to-end process of an assigned WP LV of an industrial or utility project from technical and time point of view.

He is able to propose a complex WP LV technical solution, interfaces and support tendering process, effectively manage the execution phase engineering documentation of a project WP LV, effectively cooperate with factories (IG / OG) during execution and testing (FAT) as well as propose a complex on – site support during commissioning / SAT. His ability to work in an international environment is mandatory specifically in German speaking countries.

In general:

Participate in tender phase and support an assigned project TL ED
Participate in execution phase, WP LV complex responsibility including all technical interfaces and support to the assigned project TL ED
Participate in testing project phases in factories (FAT / IFAT) and on – site during commissioning (SAT) support an assigned project TL ED
Experience from international industrial projects of Electrical Distribution (ED)
Permanent position in Regional Execution Platform (global solutions engineering center) in Bratislava with occasional business trips in EMEAS region

During a project tender / proposal / offer / selling phase (budgetary & firm) to provide a complex technical analysis of a customer assignment (tender documentation) for Electrical distribution, analyse critical technical matters and requests, IG / OG supplier technical and schedule proposal and generate a deviation list and its mitigation, identify technical risks and potential opportunities inside an industrial or utility project, analyse a project WP LV schedule impact
Cooperate with Schneider Electric production plants (IG) or external (OG) LV plants / manufactures
During a project execution phase (BD / DD / FAT / iFAT / SAT) to manage a complex engineering design documentation for the WP LV
Preparation and coordination test report documentation for the WP LV (FAT / iFAT)
Participation in a project WP LV switchgears FAT & iFAT testing performance according to TL ED instructions
Integration of (FAT / iFAT tests) punch lists into engineering documentation (DD)
The WP LV As – Manufactured Documentation (AMD) responsibility
Preparation and coordination test report documentation for the WP LV (SAT / iSAT) according to TL ED instructions if necessary
Participation in a project WP LV (SAT & iSAT) on-site testing performance according to TL ED instructions if necessary
The WP LV As – Built Documentation (ABD) responsibility
Technical power electric engineering management with focus on LV switchgears, LV components, LV systems, LV power cables & BTS busducts and its routing as well as to be able to propose basics of electrical, thermal, and dynamic conditions verification, understand power LV systems and its integration with control and systems (communications)
IEC / IEEE / DIN international standards and directives
Safety & Security in power electric engineering knowledge and respect it in all project phases (including fireproof and ATEX explosive systems and environment)
Ability & flexibility to integrate technical changes into engineering documentation (technical change and opportunity management with adequate WP schedule impact analysis)
Generate a deviation list (customer requirements vs plants proposals) and propose a mitigation of open points / deviations
Coordinate WP LV and make a technical compliance with 3D model of the project
Participation in technical meetings according to TL ED instructions
Complex technical WP LV support to the project TL ED for TDP design process and reports
Ability to find an financial effective WP LV technical solution
Knowledge how to track costs and improving profitability of the technical project solution
Implementation of international ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 18000 HSE and ISO14000 environmental standards
Fully respect of Safety standards during all project execution

technical beckground - Power Electric systems – Electric Distribution (ED); specialy LV power electric

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)
