Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a test automation engineer at Malta office you’ll be working with people from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about what they do. We believe in releasing small and often, building for change and automating as much as possible. There will always be exciting new technologies to explore and interesting problems to solve.
If you love automating in Java as well as using frameworks and tools like Selenium, Spring, Cucumber and Appium you’ll fit right in. Our client builds distributed systems that handle millions of transactions each day. Our development teams deliver new features on daily basis, doing thousands of releases every year.
What will you be doing?
Performing testing on required tasks using suitable testing approach, methods and tools;
Executing test automation strategy and find the suitable automation approach for different test cases;
Planning testing and test automation activities and being an owner of testing and test automation topics within the team;
Implementing, maintaining and improving test automation frameworks;
Participating in designing, implementing and executing test cases;
Monitoring, debugging and documenting test results;
Proactively driving improvements to automated test coverage;
Integrating test suite into CI system.

Personality requirements and skills
We expect you to have at least one year of experience in the field of software testing and Java development. You have worked in international and cross-country environments. You have hands-on testing experience in a professional software development environment. You are familiar with main testing and test automation concepts and have the ability to practically use and implement them. You have also worked with CI frameworks and source code control tools.
We expect our candidate to:
Be familiar with Java
Understanding the importance of UX;
Have experience in using issue tracking tools like JIRA;
Have the desire for constant learning and improvement in craft of software testing;
Be a self-starter and proactive;
Have good social skills and able to work well in a multi-cultural team;
Have professional level English language skills. Knowledge of other languages (especially Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian) is considered as an advantage.
