Who we are looking for
We are seeking an independent technology-focused professional manager who has built teams and companies from their early stages to scale. You must be instantly credible with the Hi-Tech eco-system in Slovak Republic and able to bring, hire, mentor and inspire first time and seasoned software engineers to help them build top-class, scalable and efficient technology products. This role will report directly to the Head of Technology of the company.

What you are going to do

Build and Grow
Be the first to lead and build a world class team of cross-functional software engineers, by attracting, hiring and retaining top engineering talents.
Coach the team members and facilitating their personal development by proactively requesting their input and feedback.
Create clear communication channels of tasks and expectations in line with the company values, culture, goals, vision and mission statement.
Ensure high quality standards of your team's output and continuously enabled motivate them to reach higher goals.
Lead Technology and Deliver
Work closely with our product, project, and business teams, from different locations, to translate requirements into sustainable features.
Drive the development and timely delivery of interrelated, highly technical services and technology-driven products within the areas of finance.
Evaluate engineering efforts, estimate realistic time frames and come up with lean alternatives.
Collaborate and coordinate closely with the QA and Security departments.
Ensure proper workflow tracking using JIRA and Confluence documentation.
Roll up your sleeves and help code when your team is in a crunch.

Collaborate and Expand
Be the technological link between the mother group in Switzerland and the company in the Slovak Republic.
Collaborate and coordinate closely with the group’s Tech Directors from around Europe.
Be proactive and offer ideas and ways to realize the technological vision and needs of the other portfolio companies.

What you need to have

Knowledge and Experience
University degree in computer science
Several years of hands-on coding experience with modern programming languages (Java, Scala, GO, or C++) and expertise in distributed systems, micro services, and high volume production systems.
10+- years of work experience in international technology companies.
A minimum of 5 years experience leading and managing technical team and software projects.
Experience with ‘agile’ methods, project management and fundamental IT knowledge.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Slovak.
