VAT Consultant
Job description, responsibilities and duties
As Consultant in VAT area your main tasks will be:
- Providing advisory services related to VAT to Slovak and international clients;
- Assisting client in the VAT inspection and VAT litigation process, communicate with Slovak tax authorities;
- Preparation of allocated VAT returns;
- Monitoring tax legislation on Slovak and EU level, writing internal analyses, preparation newsletters for clients, participate on preparation of comments to proposed new VAT and related legislation;
- Cooperation with colleagues from other lines of service, e.g. audit, corporate income tax team.

Personality requirements and skills
- University education (economic subject);
- At least 2 years of experience with the VAT, including:
- knowledge of Slovak and EU VAT legislation, judgements of the European Court of Justice, tax administration law;
- experience in providing advisory services to Slovak and foreign clients on the VAT structuring, transactions, compliance;
- experience in communication with Slovak and foreign clients;
- experience in verbal and electronic communication with tax offices and other institutions;
- Ability to work and actively communicate in English;
- Intermediate level Excel use; and
- Interest in technology, Excel, and new software.
