Senior AP Accountant

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) is currently looking for a Senior AP Accountant. This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop their skill set and network in PwC, working with experienced Accounting and Finance practitioners across the region.

Your main duty will be to process and manage accounts payable and provide related accounting support to entities in central and eastern Europe administered by the SSC.

Work in SSC is specific and different than work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world.


Other duties and responsibilities:
  • Registration of supplier’s invoices in accordance with the requirements of commercial, financial and other departments.
  • Monitor invoices adjustments and related financial documents (cancellation, partial invoice cancellation etc.) and match with orders.
  • Daily processing of supplier’s invoices (check all legal requirements), regular accounts allocation and prepare invoice payment proposal
  • Based on review make sure that the supplier’s accounts and balances are correct. Preparation of statutory and management reports and process month end accruals postings during the monthly closing based on the country requirements
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
  • Communicate with English speaking clients in order to resolve routine queries and problems.

Personality requirements and skills

  • University degree in economics
  • At least two years of experience in a similar position
  • Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and monthly period end closing
  • Advanced user of MS Excel
  • Good command of English
  • Ability to work as part of a team, whether with your colleagues or the practice with the ability to share and collaborate, creating a positive team spirit
