Job description, responsibilities and duties
As Product Owner, you will guide cross-functional teams in the design and development process. You will expand Excentus Product Lines by enhancing existing features, and help to develop new features based on your experience and understanding of the company's goals and objectives. Using your unique blend of business and technical savvy, you will spend time working with internal and external teams to turn the strategic vision of the business into viable products.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with business and engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

- Execute the business and operational requirements based upon the business and technical objectives of each product/feature
- Driving resolution and customer communication for production issues
- Coordinating cross-functional teams in the roll out of new features and services
- Working with internal teams to plan, document and coordinate product releases
- Working closely with the development organization to set feature priority and ensure the defined software product is delivered to the market
- Maintaining close communication with Implementation, Business Engineering, Program Management and Customer Support teams to collect product feedback from customers and help ensure their satisfaction with current and future software product releases
- Understanding and evangelizing products internally and externally
- Providing subject matter expertise for Implementation, Business Engineering, Application Analysts, Business Development, Program Management, and Marketing teams

- Minimum experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a software product management role
- Experience in working with financial transaction processing or high volume transaction processing systems
- Acute analytic skills and the ability to solve problems quickly
- Experience in delivering excellent products
- Ability to think on your feet and generalize solutions
- Excellent communication skills oral and written tailored for each of a wide variety of audiences
- Experience in delivering excellent products
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in particular the role of Product Owner
- Proficient with Agile/Scrum tools such as Rally for the purpose of maintaining Product Roadmap and Backlogs as well as managing releases • Strong grasp of user-experience design
- Great project-management skills
- Experience is transactional processing is preferred
- Experience implementing solutions in enterprise application environments is preferred
- Familiarity with technologies such as: J2EE, Oracle, JBoss, CMS, Web Services, XML, CSS, and HTML is preferred
- Familiarity with networking such as: TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, HTTPS, and VPN is preferred
