Orange International Networks Infrastructures & Services (OINIS) is a technical division, serving Orange group on international aspects. This role is within Wholesale Services IP engineering team, responsible for the engineering of the IP connectivity services sold by International Carrier entity (whose customers are Content Providers like Google or Amazon, and ISPs like Orange France or Orange Spain). The team is spread around the world (Slovakia, USA, France), therefore you will be joining a multicultural, English-speaking business
The engineer/architect will be responsible for the technical design and the development of these services. The automation of the deployment will also be part of the missions.

As part of a rich ecosystem of professions and activities, the engineer/architect will therefore define:
• the best IP / MPLS and Segment Routing network solutions and architectures to provide these end-to-end services, while ensuring their security,
• their monitoring,
• their automation as part of the group's global program, which is to achieve network orchestration and automation (orchestration, use of NFV, etc.)
• will also be required to lead the deployment of these solutions in the OINIS/IC ecosystem.

Activities:
• Specify the engineering rules for these IP / MPLS and Segment Routing services, including security fundamentals.
• Validate the retained solutions and architectures in the team's lab.
• Develop the automation of the solution deployment (with NSO) and its supervision (lead the deployment of new services across the organizations of the Wholesale International division).
• Support the operational teams in the skills’ transfer.
• Occasionally support the sales teams in the pre-sales phase for complex customer solutions.
• Proactively support the evolution of the network and its service architecture.
• Manage the relationship with one or more suppliers (such as Juniper or Cisco).

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

• At least 5 years of experience within IP/MPLS network architectures.
• Knowledge of network routing protocols: IS-IS / Flex-Algo, BGP, MPLS, LDP, Segment Routing, etc.
• A strong interest in IP networks technologies (MPLS, Segment Routing, Flex Algo, BGP, etc.).
• A natural interest for security concerns.
• Strong ability to work in a team and on cross-functional projects, in a complex organization with various professions and activities.
• English is essential due to the worldwide presence of OINIS.

Skills to develop on the position:
• Knowledge of network security (IP Sec, MAC Sec, filtering, large scale network best practices, etc.).
• Knowledge of software development applied to the network: Python, YANG, Netconf.
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization environments.
• Application of these technologies on various vendor/hardware (Juniper, Cisco, etc.).
• Interest for new protocols and emerging technologies (NFV, SDN, …).
