Solar Turbines Digital is delivery focused, fast moving and dynamic technology division of Solar Turbines whose main goal is developing and deploying innovative and robust technology solutions for remotely connecting and monitoring Solar turbomachinery packages globally, as part of a comprehensive business and technology strategy. The customers are global Oil & Gas, Pipeline and Power Generation companies located all over the world. The Digital team has approximately 250 people across San Diego, Switzerland and Slovakia.

We are looking for enthusiastic senior test automation engineer who possess motivation and desire to learn. You will be part of the international team working in agile environment responsible for test automation for applications that can vary from customer oriented analytic tools or contract management to the lowest level turbine data computations and data processing.

You will be responsible for:
• Reviewing of the requirement and design specifications
• Development of functional and non-functional manual and automated test cases (scripts)
• Implementing test automation into CI/CD and improving the whole workflow to support frequently delivered applications to customers
• Adhering to / promoting prescribed procedures, SW development process, technologies and test strategy
• Help with Test Plan preparation needed for testing delivery in a number of functional and non-functional areas
• Tracking and reporting of quantitative and qualitative testing results/metrics in an auditable form
• Ensuring testing is carried out in a timely, repeatable and effective manner
• Defect logging and reporting
• Participating in problem solving in various areas
• Following principals of Scale agile framework within a team and organization infrastructure
• Work with PO’s to understand functional scope and to ensure user POV’s is captured
• Bringing new ideas and improvements
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues.

Job requirements:

• Testing skills – MUST
o Manual testing techniques – advanced
o Automation test scripting techniques – advanced
o Any programming or scripting language – advanced (Python is advantage)
o ISTQB / ISEB foundation certificate

• Tools
o Defect logging tool – advanced
o Version control tool – advanced
o Continuous integration tool – advanced
o Any other test management tools (Azure, Jira…) – experienced

• Other
o Ability to query database (SQL) – experienced
o Strong understanding of web services
o Agile software methodology – SCRUM – basic
