Job description, responsibilities and duties

The primary focus of this position is to support the Fixed Manufacturing Expenditure  Controller MEU to provide financial support to Integrated Supply Chain management in their decision making process linked with fixed manufacturing spent.
The FME Analyst supports the FME Controller in effective Fixed Costs management in ISC (both Fixed Manufacturing Expenditure and Head Office Administrative costs) in MEU region; allowing key decision making based on clear/effective reporting and benchmarking across sites and category platforms.
Role is actively involved in identifying possible productivity savings for the business and in ensuring fully harmonized ways of working & reporting.
This role also operates in a complex matrix environment which involves people from different countries and categories (Plant Controllers, Manufacturing Controlling Team, Procurement Controlling Team, Commodity Controlling Team and Inventory Accounting Team). The person needs to be able to connect the dots/input and provide meaningful analysis as an output.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identifies simplification and cost reduction initiatives along with project specific tasks to ensure optimum use of fixed cost spending and active contribution to the overall productivity agenda (e.g. Fixed Cost Benchmarking, Expense Pooling, ZBB).
  • ZBB system management
  • Understand and control Service Company structure which relates to FME
  • Stays in close connection with Overhead Team or Other Regions to ensure that when applicable productivity initiatives are shared & rolled across all Fixed Cost Structure
  • Coordinate planning process for FME costs and own key inputs (Targets allocation/Merit/Insurance/Inflation/x-charges etc.)
  • Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis for Central Admin Fee Cost Centers. Ownership of CC structure as well as any new set-ups or changes to be reflected.
  • Central Monthly FME reporting and BS positions for all MEU plants
  • Responsible for Budgeting and Control of Cost Centers included under the Administration Fee for the MEU Region. In cooperation with the MEU Inventory Controller ensure allocation in line with P1E protocols.
  • Constant monitoring of Opportunities & Risks to ensure we hit/beat the overall productivity target.
  • Analyses Deviations vs Plan to ensure prompt capture of opportunities and timely identification of Risks aimed at mitigating business impacts and associated financial risks.

On demand provides interface to GP to facilitate discussion with local plant for the following tasks:
  • Communication between GP and all relevant partners in plant organizations to collect information for FME budget preparation (for operational plan and periodic forecasts).
  • Remain expert in FME costs and able to take a total MEU perspective to ensure correct reporting and planning. Driving the improvements and harmonization across MEU.

  • 3+ years working in accounting and controlling of a large multi-national company.
  • System (SAP, BI and FiT) knowledge
