Our Finance Controllers do.
As a Finance controller you will secure timely and accurate reporting of the legal entity, both to Corporate as well as in compliance with local requirements. The Finance Controller is furthermore responsible for the overall financial control activities at the location. Lead the finance team and have responsibility for managing the finance administration for the company. Provide financial information and advice to the management team. Contribute to improve and monitor the accuracy of the figures.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for timely, complete and accurate month end close process, including timely reporting to corporate and local management, ensuring proper supporting documentation is available
- Secure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines as well as local laws and legislation
- Leads and organizes the finance department with a key role in development and coaching of the finance team
- Directs comprehensive financial performance analysis to gain insight into business trends and identifies key drivers of business for achieving budget
- Prepares and analyses accounts of relevant entities and KPI's for actual budget and forecast
- Communicates with auditors, tax authorities and Group accounting
- Responsible for company tax agenda and statutory reporting
- In charge of for local treasury activities incl. cash management
- Participates on annual budgeting process and comprehensive financial analysis to gain insights into the business trends
What we expect from you:
- Ability to understand complex technical information and report at different levels
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong communication and people management skills with ability to influence and manage staff
- Results oriented, determined and can do attitude
- Can anticipate issues before they arise and deal with them
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
- Good knowledge of Slovak tax regulation and Slovak accounting standards
We are looking for person who is:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business economics or relevant
- 5 years+ experience working at a similar position and knowledge of business processes
- Good working knowledge of IFRS, local financial regulations and accounting standards, compliance and governance
- Detailed knowledge and experience with relevant software (preferably SAP)
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
