Position Supplier Quality Engineer is part of Central Supplier Quality department with high percentage of business travel.
Knowledge in leather, fabric, surface materials and cut & sew sewing processes is must for succeed in this position.


The key responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer will include:


•Provide Operations Teams with the Tools, Metrics, and Training to Execute the Delivery of Seats, and Seat Components to Meet Lear and Customer agreed contracts.
•Provide Operations Management with Measureable feedback in the form of metrics on how individual products and operations units are performing, and help develop risk mitigation strategies and executable plans to limit Lear’s risk to operational, product, and deliverable non-compliance.
•Ensure that Lear’s Global Contractual Partners (Suppliers) execute and deliver product capable of meeting Lear quality and product Quality Standards.
•Support operations team on escalated supplier quality issues.
•Conduct on site problem solving audits as assigned by Manager though Audit Management System.
•If required have short-term assignments at a Lear plant to support during a launch phase.
•Ensure all suppliers are reporting the advanced supplier quality status through profile.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

•English (Fluent), German or any additional language is a plus
•Knowledge in leather, fabric, surface materials and cut&sew sewing processes
•Certified auditor (preferable VDA 6.3)
•Travel up to 75% of working time
•Driving license - active driver
