Lear Logistics Coordinator for JLR Nitra

Job description, responsibilities and duties

A new and exciting position has been approved for a Logistic Coordinator. Once the final logistics flow has been set up for SOP, supervises daily SC activities relating to the Program.
Manages actions directed to customer satisfaction, optimizing productivity, service, reliability, quality of processes, cost and value added.
Provides primary interface with JLR/1st Tier Logistics Departments and Lear production plants.
Interfaces with logistics provider supporting plants and customers with daily operational issues. Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager.

The key responsibilities of the Logistic Coordinator for JLR in Nitra will include:

  • Ensures immediate feed-back to Lear production plants supplying the SC, identifying root cause of deviations, supplying necessary information cooperating in the planning, design and execution of all corrective actions leading to continuous supply flow.
  • Manages customer relation and negotiates issues related to the daily SC operative with the customer or with the logistics provider.
  • Supervises logistics provider’s activities relating to the Program, ensures adherence to the contract stipulations.
  • Controls stock levels, ensures daily inventory reports are correct and are distributed to Lear plants; highlights potential inventory shortages and problems with customer demand coverage.
  • Manages and coordinates with Lear production plants the required information to ensure on time transport and customs clearance.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Advanced (C1) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

Driving licence

B

Personality requirements and skills

  • Bachelor Degree in logistics, quality or engineering
  • Experience in logistics, ideally automotive
  • Excellent communication skills, perseverance and self-motivation, team-work ability.
