Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Leading of accounting department of up to 8 people
Ensuring smooth, timely and accurate closing of books (in line with SK GAAP and IFRS for reporting purposes) for the legal entity on the monthly and annually basis
Ensuring smooth, timely and accurate reporting to Headquarters
Preparation of financial statements (SK GAAP) and submission to tax authorities,
Ensuring the compliance with respect to the taxes e.g. VAT, corporate income tax and custom duties
Setting up and improving processes within the accounting department
Effectively managing the internal communication related to accounting and taxes with other departments
Coordination and assistance with internal and external audits in alignment with Headquarters .

Proven track record of a successful management of accounting teams
Master’s in accounting, business administration or commercial studies
In depth know how of IFRS and SK GAAP and Slovak tax legislation required, experience in tax accounting is appreciated
Experience in automotive industry and/or manufacturing environment
High IT affinity: Excel, Hyperion Financial Management, SAP (FI, CO)
Strong analytical skills, active and dynamic approach, reliable and dependable in meeting objectives and deadlines
Excellent English language skills a must
