Senior Test Developer / Site Reliability Engineer

The salary in the job add is a minimal guaranteed base salary and can be higher - depending on the skills, level, education, professional experience, technological know-how.


We are looking for new colleague for our internal connectivity platform for measurement devices based on Microservice architecture.


Senior Test Developer / Site Reliability Engineer is part of an inter-disciplinary team while being responsible for development of automated performance tests as well as integration of monitoring and alerting systems for Kistler’s IoT cloud services.

 


Your main responsibilities will be :

• Consult Product Owner to address non-functional requirements
• Identify the appropriate level of risk tolerance and define Service Level Objectives (SLO)
• Design and implement automated tests for cloud services
• Design and implement integration of monitoring and alerting systems
• Ensure the effective implementation of tests and testing strategies in collaboration with Product Owner and other technical roles (e.g. test developers, software developers, product managers)
• Report test results to the Product Owner regarding depth and overall coverage of testing
• Maintain traceability of tests to requirements
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure that post-mortems are systematically documented and acted upon
• Maintain Continuous Integration pipelines to ensure that the deployments meet non-functional requirements (e.g. stability, performance, error handling)
• Ensure that the test approach and results are systematically measured and documented
• Mentor team members in test automation and reliability engineering
