The role leads, supports and motivates the business unit, coaching continuous improvement activities and creating a lean environment in which to identify and achieve overall goals /objectives.
* Drive business performance for the area on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People & Environment
* Lead and coach teams to achieve deployed objectives and targets in line with scorecard metrics
* Develop Group Leaders and production operators, educational/training plans for personnel including production instructions. Identify training needs
* Accountable for compliance to Health and Safety procedures in their area and demonstrates a safety first mind set to the area
* Drives governance in the area and ensures that standard work/process confirmations are taking place
* Promoting a ‘continuous improvement’ mind-set through raising Kaizen ideas that will assure quality standards are achieved
* Responsible for coaching and developing team members to ensure they are able to do their job effectively
* Responsible for HR related processes (whether it be escalation via HR direct or conducting HR Meetings at the appropriate level)
* Continuous process improvements using the Integrated Production System and * Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, and 5S
* Cooperation on Engineering changes, Line trials, Process audits, PCPA Audits, TPM plans
