Job description, responsibilities and duties

ROLE PURPOSE:
Sarbanes Oxley 404 (internal control) and internal/external financial statement reporting to provide timely and accurate financial information and collaborate with management to improve efficiencies and accuracy within the SEC reporting and SOX processes. To ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley rules.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Provide support in management’s efforts to comply with Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”) utilizing a risk-based approach to scope and oversee the internal control framework
• Support coordination with Internal audit and external audit to align on methodology, testing approach, reporting and timeliness.
• Ensure Internal Controls documentation is of high quality and in proper and consistent format across business processes
• Participate in discussions with Internal, External Auditors and control owners on the adequacy and design of Internal Controls and compensating controls.
• Assess and evaluate control exceptions per the established methodology and work with business owners to drive effective remediation plan
• Provide support in the development of the quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures (10Q/10K)
• Assist in preparing and maintaining reporting templates for financial statements and disclosures
• Participate in compilation of quarterly and yearly footnotes and associated disclosure and review of underlying support
• Assist in reviewing quarterly earnings release filings
• Collaboration with team members and management to improve efficiencies and accuracy within the SOX and financial reporting processes.
• Continually look for process improvement, seeking new ideas and ensuring open communication with coworkers and internal customers.
• May participate in corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong external reporting skills (US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements)
• Strong working knowledge in Excel and experience in reporting
• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions
• May assist with special projects for the Audit Committee, offices of Chief Financial Officer and Worldwide Controller and Investor Relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in accounting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Expert in MS Excel; Proficient in other MS Office Suite applications
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving, and highly detail oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Must be flexible and an effective team player
• Strong technical accounting skills (US GAAP), particularly related to external reporting
• Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (FM) software
• Strong analytical and numeric skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and customers
• Working experience in financial reporting and internal control or SOX preferred
