About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

To support the global Retail Business Control team, we are looking for a virtual team member who will assist us in our purpose to provide our management with insight in non-financial risk exposure and the effectiveness of our internal control environment
  • Create regular management reports per product domain or risk area, using data from issues, events and key control tests;
  • Collect and validate data from countries to monitor compliance with policies;
  • Support data quality improvements (investigate non-financial risk data and find patterns; suggest and coordinate actions to improve data quality);
  • Broader non-financial risk reporting activities; suggest improvements to reporting capabilities to ensure quality and efficiency of the reporting processes;

Who will you cooperate with?
You will become part of the virtual Retail Business Control team, supporting the central team as well as the various topical control experts across the global Retail geographies.

Some of your daily activities:
  • Create reports and presentations on issues, events and test (KCT) results for Daily Banking, Investments, or Mortgages control experts and management.
  • Deliver monthly holistic Retail Business Control dashboards with KPIs on risk exposure, control effectiveness and KCT progress
  • Validate and consolidate data of Operational Compliance Dashboard on MiFID, Sourcing, Insurance or other regulatory topics
  • Ad hoc analysis of trends in incidents, issue resolution, risk indicators
  • Monitor data quality, suggest improvement actions and coordination follow up with local country control offices.
  • Suggest improvements to reporting capabilities (such as interfacing, databases, reporting tooling) to ensure quality and efficiency of the non-financial risk reporting processes

Your working environment:
ING Retail covers all geographies where ING offers services to Retail or Business Banking client segments. You will cooperate with colleagues in our central team located in Amsterdam and in our shared service centers in Bratislava and Manila, with colleagues in the Business Control teams within the Retail countries, and our stakeholders within the global Retail business domains. We have recently started working according to agile methodology which amongst others means that responsibility given to you will be high.
