About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING’s global wholesale clients. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex knowledge work in design and consultancy roles. We are part of the IBSS organization which consists of servicing hubs around the globe. Our vision is to centralize the processing activities of ING to these servicing hubs to help harmonize and standardize products and processes in order to give an outstanding and differentiating client experience to all clients of ING worldwide.

To support this growth and harmonization we are now looking to build a new Robotics Process Automation team in Bratislava. The mission of the team will be to accelerate in the identification, analysis and execution of robotics activities, while delivering efficiency, consistency and quality improvements to our wholesale banking operations worldwide.

In this role you will be involved in both local and global projects and will be part of a rapidly growing Automation community within ING and will contribute to continuous quality and performance improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design, development and delivery of automation solutions that align with business needs and internal technical standards
  • Develop technical specifications & build and test robust code to accomplish business requirements
  • Provide time/effort estimates for development tasks
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot technical problems (functional / performance related)
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project delivery and/or budget
  • Provide regular progress updates to management including highlighting any potential delivery risks or issues

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Fluent in English
  • 1-year experience in software development or process automation development
  • Experience with Automation Anywhere (or other RPA tool) preferred; however if you have no experience in these tools, but have to desired technical background we will train you
  • Solid understanding and experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to read Excel macros to translate them to RPA solutions
  • Fast learning, you watch trends in your area and are not afraid of applying new technologies and solutions
  • Passionate about your field of expertise (automation) and ambitious, you want to grow as a person and professional
  • Service mentality and passion for working in an innovative team
