About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a shared services hub providing banking services for ING wholesale & retail branches worldwide. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex roles and are currently growing our local risk management capabilities.
For this, IBSS Bratislava is changing fast and furious. So, if you feel comfortable in a changing environment where being in control of our risk is a key success factor, and where you will work in an agile way and as part of self-steering teams then we’re looking for you.
As a Business Controls Officer, you will help ING Wholesale Baking business lines (Financial Markets, Transactional Services, Lending, Tech, Customer Service) stay in control of their Sourcing arrangements.
The role will consist of several responsibilities:

Implementation:
  • Advise business lines on implementation of recently updated Sourcing Control Standard
  • Resolve gaps in testing and implementation identified during 2019
  • Perform risk assessments for each business line on new Sourcing standard
  • Agree detailed governance on Sourcing topics and serve as main point of contact towards central Procurement registrar in Poland

Business as Usual:
  • Perform periodic risk assessments and based on outcome decide which outsourced services should be reviewed each year
  • Execute controls defined in Sourcing Control Standard
  • Be the Wholesale Banking main point of contact with 2nd LoD (Operational Risk Management) regarding the Sourcing framework
  • Be involved in creation and resolution (including chasing) of issues related to Sourcing
  • When new Sourcing arrangements are finalized train new service recipients/owners on what they need to deliver

Personality requirements and skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in risk management, Compliance or Audit related function or experience in Sourcing / Procurement
  • Communication: Influence skills with local and global senior colleagues and ability to ensure global collaboration without losing track of your role as a service provider
  • Experience working in a 3 lines of defense model advantageous
  • Must be able to perform varied simultaneous tasks in an environment of medium to high complexity
  • Must be able to coordinate the goals of and track progress and follow up with various parties with various seniority levels and of many different nationalities
  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • Fluent in English (C1 level)
