Job description, responsibilities and duties

Have you ever thought what is behind the retail banking activities? Do you know how documents and requests submitted to internal systems are processed? If you want to participate in establishment of new department that will be responsible for back office processing of Retail Banking service on a Global scale (assuring the smooth retail banking flow in France and Italy), this is the chance for you.

For ING Global Services and Operations in Bratislava we are opening new vacancies for Banking Operations Officers with Italian language who will collaborate with international departments in Italy.

You are responsible for the execution of activities that are whole or part linked to :

  • accounts closures,
  • mortgages processing
  • controls on cheques and other tasks linked to the cheques handling,
  • domestic and cross-border transfers,
  • events during the customer relation (commercial gestures, garnishments on bank account, successions…),
  • detailed checks of pending tasks before closure,
  • manage escalation process as soon as potential hit or doubt arise.

Main assignments (subject to evolutions) :

  • Read the requests sent by the customers
  • Control the compliance of the requests and attached documents
  • Analyse the bank accounts and identify potential problems on the accounts (suspense items, etc.)
  • Make decisions on the account (accept and handle the request, refuse the request and justify the decision…)
  • Perform all the requested tasks in the different IT applications
  • Control and validate the tasks of other staff members
  • Interact (by email) with other services, located foreign
  • Update numbers/figures of work done

  • Knowledge of Italian language : intermediate (reading and writing)
  • Knowledge of English language : upper intermediate (especially reading and writing)
  • Motivation and attitude is more than an experience for us but any experience in Back Office banking sector or on Administrative position is welcomed
