Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Hardware (HW) Pricing mission is to implement and execute pricing processes for the IBM HW
businesses within Europe which support speed to market and the achievement of revenue and profit
goals. The Special BID Transaction Pricer needs to understand the product requirements of the
business partner / client and develop a price that meets the clients need while achieving IBMs own
profit objectives. Therefore, the pricer closely collaborates with a very broad community of specialists
such as sales transaction hub, business profit manager, sales team, product specialist, finance teams
and other IBM pricing teams to support increasingly complex business requirements.

- The comprehensive scope of responsibility for Hardware Pricing contains:
- Financial analysis of Special Bids, in relation to the price justification
- Construct bid profitability assessments
- Provide advice and recommendation (e.g. approve / reject / adjust price) to the business
supporting their decision process
- Determine and gather the required approvals according to published rules for release of
special bid to business partners or clients.
- Approve or reject within the delegation limits for Pricing
- Request, administer and control the management approvals required by the delegation
- Prepare allocation of revenue in multibrand and crossbrand bids, according to defined
revenue allocation processes
- When applicable, use defined methodologies to calculate price differential for non-standard
terms and conditions
- Perform compliance testing on prices released by Pricing
