Lead Video Producer

Job Description

IBM Digital Services Groups is currently looking for a strong Video Producer to join the team! The producer will oversee each project from conception to completion and may also be involved in the marketing and distribution processes. Producers work closely with the directors and other production staff on a shoot. The producer will arrange funding for each project and will be responsible for keeping the production within the allocated budget. The ideal candidate will be hands on in supporting all aspects of the video production. This includes negotiation with clients, collecting client's requirements, price negotiation, management of the project timeline, design, video production & post production, build reviews, QA, etc.

Responsibilities:
The newly hired Lead Video Producer will be responsible for facilitating projects and will be involved in every stage of video and live streaming production. (S)he will be overseeing the projects from beginning to end, both on IBM premises and on client's location.

Tasks include:
● liaising and discussing projects with financial backers; (projects can range from a small, corporate video costing 300€ to dozen-thousands-euro-budget projects
● interact with vendors and agencies to hire key staff for video and live-streaming projects;
● controlling the budget and allocating resources;
● pulling together all the strands of creative and practical talent involved in the project to create a team;
● organising shooting schedules - dependent on the type of producer and availability of support staff;
● troubleshooting;
● bringing the finished production in on budget;
● reading, researching and assessing ideas and finished scripts;
● building and developing a network of contacts;
● using computer software packages for screen writing, budgeting and scheduling;
● maintaining contemporary technical skills;
● ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes of practice and health and safety laws;
● supervising the progress of the project from production to post production;
● holding regular meetings with Digital Video Services team members in Europe;
