Your role

  • Analyzing purchasing prices for the Henkel global contract manufacturing and traded goods suppliers considering the price development of raw materials, packaging materials, manufacturing and logistics costs of the finished goods, collecting regional inputs, merging/bridging regional inputs with regards to global perspective
  • Reporting and analysis of development of cash networking capital and savings
  • Identifying major deviations in price developments and liaising with the relevant parties – Purchasing, Supply Chain, to understand what drives the major increases or decreases of prices, adjusting the price development based on received feedback, and presenting results to Global Purchasing team
  • Ensuring consistency and reliability of analyzed and compiled data, which is to be reported in the Henkel internal financial systems
  • Coordinating reporting and purchasing financial activities with Global Purchasing community
  • Framing along with the Global Purchasing team purchasing strategies to influence the total spend in the CMTG area, negotiate better terms with the major suppliers to influence CNWC and increase the yearly savings
  • Preparing presentations on the current status of the price development, impact, strategies and cascading information to local and regional purchasers
  • Supporting local and regional purchasers with ad-hoc reports about the status in their region
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency of the whole purchasing process

Your skills

  • University education in a related field to economics/finance/purchasing/controlling
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably purchasing/controlling, in an international company
  • Fluent English skills (Verbal and written)
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Very good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proactive communication style, customer service approach with the ability to interact with contacts from different countries and different managerial levels
  • Energy, drive and determination to succeed and to reach challenging targets
  • Working independently and be imaginative; thinking outside the box; identifying process improvements
