Head Accountant

We are looking for an experienced professional responsible for accounting and tax tasks in Glunz & Jensen s.r.o., a Danish owned subsidiary
You will be a part of a dynamic team with both Slovak and Danish members, having a reference to the Corporate Head Accountant
The successful candidate will have a strong desire in continuous improvement, process standardization and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers / vendors

The position responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.

To be successful you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

Responsibilities of the employee:
Ensure compliance with state tax requirements as well as with accounting principles
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process
Close cooperation with other departments
Communication with bank
Communication with tax and finance authorities
Closing monthly accounts
Review of monthly financial reporting for Glunz & Jensen s.r.o.; including information to both management team in Slovakia and Denmark
Monthly VAT declarations
Monthly Intrastat declarations (sales and purchases)
Annual reporting for Glunz & Jensen s.r.o. according to Slovak Statutory Accounting Principles
Annual Corporate Income Tax Declaration for Glunz & Jensen s.r.o.
