First Data. Beyond the Transaction.

 Team up with a group of experienced information security professionals responsible for protecting First Data Corporation's information processing systems .  Maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of client information by ensuring that security controls are in compliance with First Data Corporation's application security standards and procedures.  Contribute to maintaining the information security environment at First Data Corporation and report security violations.  Manage complex project issues and tasks.  Work independently with clients, business partners and management on information security issues and strategies.  Provide coaching to clients, business partners, contractors and employees to drive desired improvements in application security.  Contribute to maintaining First Data Corporation's PCI-DSS certifications and addressing other regulatory requirements. 

 

Candidates will be performing application security certifications to validate that applications do not contain any technical or procedural security weaknesses.  Certification work will be done by following an application security certification process, using vulnerability scanning tools and manual testing techniques.  The security certifications will require obtaining a strong understanding of the business logic and data flows within the applications under review and the ability to communicate remediation techniques to application developers.  Candidates will be responsible for documenting security issues in accordance with a strict evidence retention methodology and communicating issues to developers and management in terms that can be understand and facilitate remediation.  

 


 

All candidates must have hands on technical experience with security testing tools and a strong understanding of web application security threats and vulnerabilities.  Experience will Appscan and intercepting proxies is preferred.  Candidates must be detailed oriented, extremely well organized, and have the ability and desire to accept the challenges of performing detailed technical information security work on a full time basis.  Effective oral and written communication skills is required.  Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is highly deadline driven in order to meet aggressive business processing requirements.  Candidates must be flexible to work off hours and weekends, if needed to complete security certification work that is tied to meeting significant business objectives.  This is a growth position -- candidates must be fast learners and will have the opportunity to developer their information security skills to assume greater leadership responsibilities.  English language proficiency required.  Travel across First Data Corporation EMEA locations required.

 


 All candidates must be CISSP professionals or committed to achieving CISSP certification within 2 years of employment at First Data Corporation.  Preferred candidates should have at least an engineering or computer science oriented Bachelors degree.  At least 2 years of full time experience as an information security practitioner is preferred.
