Join First Data as a Senior Application Developer in our Global Business Solutions Team and embark on a career where you will be working on building and maintaining new and existing TMS (terminal management system) for parameter download (according to NEXO standard) and software download for dedicated POS terminals.

About the Role:
Its an exciting time to join First Data! As we continue to grow and win new projects we are looking to hire driven and passionate developers in to our team in Bratislava.
• Setting up initial TMS systems inside First Data landscape
• Agreeing and implementing enhancements of TMS systems with vendor
• Integrating the solution into First Data landscape and support surrounding teams during testing phase
• Monitoring and maintaining the system and guide Operations team and plan capacity for PROD usage
• Executing changes according First Data change policies
• Gaining detailed knowledge of Europe wide NEXO standard
• Acting as a first point of contact for operation and other teams and analyse incidents reported and handover results to developers for fixing issues

About You:
Here at First Data we are always looking for passionate, empowered and innovative individuals to join us. In addition to this we are also looking for the following skills and experience in relation to this role:

• Strong Java Server knowledge
• Experience of working within Linux environment
• Good working knowledge of standard tools like: Git, Gerrit, Jira, Confluence for standard software development lifecycle
• C and C+ coding experience would be an advantage
• A team player and with the ability to work with international teams locally and remotely
• Fluency in English is essential
• Knowledge of card transaction processing and POS terminals is a beneficial – including NEXO
