EAI - European Alliance for Innovation is a non-profit organization and a professional community established in cooperation with the European Commission to empower the global research and innovation, and to promote cooperation between European and International ICT communities.
EAI is now looking for a Full-stack software engineer, part-time or full time, for the office in Bratislava, Slovakia. This role may be a starting point in your career, giving you the possibility of full time job and progression to more senior roles within the organization.
Successful applicant will be responsible for architecture and development of several EAI in-house developed software systems.
Job responsibilities and duties:
- development, maintenance, and support for several in-house developed software solutions (using JavaEE, Spring, Ruby on Rails, PHP, optionally Haskell and Lisp)
- deployment and configuration management

- relational database schema design, and RDBMS administration (preferably PostgreSQL and MySQL)
- message queue systems and protocols (AMQP/RabbitMQ)
- basic knowledge of Linux OS and shell scripting
- basic knowledge of Docker and related containerization and CI/CD technologies
- web servers and proxies (Apache and Nginx)
- experience with Javascript front-end frameworks (preferably AngularJS) would be advantageous
