Job description, responsibilities and duties

At this position you will work with global PR team, WeLiveSecurity team and the regional & focus country PR teams to collate results data, providing insightful analysis which will inform planning, strategy, and tactics. The role will include a dedicated remit to service the EMEA PR operation. At this position you will have direct impact on the global PR strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Following established Global PR metrics, collect data from regions/markets, online monitoring tools such as Meltwater, Zoomsphere, Sprout Social (Social Media Monitoring), Cision (PR Monitoring) or any other tool used by ESET and cooperate in the preparation of PR strategies, analyses, and regular regional PR reports
• Collecting results data and delivering insightful reports to the head of global PR which provide benchmarking and insights to inform future content/campaigns/events strategies
• Conceptualizing, developing, and executing a new global reporting system
• Following Global PR Calendar and planning analytical workload on regular basis
• Checking and providing feedback on PR content based on the media coverage results in regions. Providing advice for ESET teams based on analysis and interpretation of data
• Assisting EMEA PR coordinator/manager to create strategies, KPIs and targets as well as day-to-day PR tasks as required
• Provide crisis communication support, as required

Requirements for the employee

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an analytical role, preferably in PR or marketing
• English - upper intermediate B2
• Advanced work with MS Excel and willingness to learn statistics and PR evaluation software / services
• Knowledge of IT security is a bonus
• Open and clear communication, active listening, and ensuring the message is understood
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Creative and strategic thinking with ability and enthusiasm to share ideas
• Quick learner, open to feedback and opportunities for development
• Adaptability in changing work circumstances, flexibility


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.

Today, over 1,800 employees around the world drive the company’s success – a telling increase from 3 in 1987 and 135 in 2006. Almost 900 of them are based in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters.
