Job description, responsibilities and duties

For the international banking application (customer oriented) we are seeking a candidate for the position “3rd level technical support specialist”. Communicating to 1st and 2nd level support (helpdesk, 24/7 operators) and processing of incidents.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Analyze and investigate incidents on technical level
  • Read and analyze logs (Apache, Tomcat, custom) and correlate information in several logs
  • Support in setting up and maintaining monitoring of applications (Kibana, Prometheus, File Beats and more)
  • See the “big picture” of the whole solution to be able to determine root causes of problems
  • Support in performance testing and analyze results to suggest and implement improvements
  • Do 24/7 on call support rotation (1 week on call in 5 to 6 weeks)
  • Create and maintain operational documentation.
  • Investigate new technologies, suggest improvements and enhancements
  • Support in the initiative to move on premise infrastructure to public cloud
  • Willing to travel to support customers on-site in neighboring countries (once every two months)

  • Experienced Linux user
  • Understand Java Application servers / Standalone Java basic configuration
  • Understand HTTP/HTTPS
  • Understand RESTFul API (JSON)
  • Understand Messaging services/Concepts (MQ or AQ or JMS)
  • Experience with any of Elastic Search, Kafka, Zookeeper, Cassandra
  • SQL basics
  • AWS knowledge and experience
  • Proficient in English
  • Proactive communication
  • Work independently and enjoy solving problems
  • Open to work in a highly international environment
