Job description, responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the English CEO the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of the Slovak site.
• Ensure that sales and business targets are set in line with Group objectives, and that they are met or exceeded, whilst ensuring best practice is followed in corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Direct, monitor, support and develop all department managers to accomplish the goals of the company’s commercial strategy, and ensure a positive relationship with the workforce
• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the site and lead the development of procedures for maintaining high standards of customer service ensuring that products conform to established customer and company quality standards
• Responsible for overseeing the site’s operational efficiency, health & safety and cost controls
• Prepare and submit regular reports of plant operations to the Group Management Team.
• Fully conversant with the management of a stand-alone plant being responsible for all aspects of the site (except product development which is managed from the UK)
• Championing and implementing improvement projects and processes that support key business objectives
• Promoting employee engagement, teamwork, ownership, creativity, innovation and growth
• Responsible for efficiency, cost controls and profit & loss.
• Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
• Ensure that all workings are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.

Required Skills:
• Fluent in English and Slovak
• Minimum 5 years senior manufacturing experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive sector
• Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, and customer service with the ability to understand the linkages across these process areas
• Demonstrated leadership skills, interpersonal skills and ability to champion team building
• Demonstrated cost analysis abilities to budget, forecast and operate within established budgets
• Interest in the production process combined with presence on the shop floor, a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills with all employee groups are essential for this position.

• Degree Educated in a relevant subject
