Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Your responsibility will be:
- Provide technical support in a complex mission critical SAP environment
- Participate in 7x24 day-to-day operations support and on-call support on a rotational basis
- Perform low/mid level support for all supported customers in SAP Basis/DB area
- Use tools for remote management and alert monitoring
- Responsible for incident / service call investigation, diagnosis, resolutions where possible or dispatching to the relevant higher level support
- Participate in daily operational tasks, planned change management tasks and projects as assigned by the direct supervisor
- Follow and improve company’s technical and process standards, automation and solutions

Essential:
Preferred:
- Min. High school degree
- Basic administration in Linux like operating systems
- Windows NT/2000/2003/2008/2012 knowledge (basics of administration)
- Basic knowledge of networking (IP Services etc.)
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Customer and service orientation
- Team player
- Written and spoken English
Preferred:
- SAP basis administration experience
- Additional knowledge & experience in Oracle, HANA, MAXDB, MSSQL, SYBASE or DB2
- Additional knowledge in shell scripting
- Experience in Backup environments and knowledge of HP Data Protector
- Experience in SAP related applications (Batchman, $Universe, iXOS)
- Fluent in German is an advantage
