Accountant and IFRS reporting specialist

The Group accountant and IFRS reporting specialist is primarily responsible for participation on annual and semi-annual IFRS consolidation of our client´s Group and its sub-consolidated parts which are subject to formal sub-consolidation due to legal or compliance reasons or because they represent a separate line of business for which the management of the Group is keen to see its business results.

Key competencies:
• Knowledge of IFRS and Slovak statutory accounting regulations
• Knowledge of consolidation principles a plus (eg. IC elimination, elimination of capital, IC margin elimination, merger and de-merger eliminations etc.)
• Structured in thinking and clear in presentation of ideas
• A team player
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities
• Ability to communicate at all levels across the Group
• Proactive, able to operate effectively and independently with minimum guidance
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work
• Able to meet assigned deadlines
• Able to challenge processes and implement improved working methods

Accountabilities
• Participates on preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Communicates with and manages work of external service providers (accounting service providers abroad, administration service providers) in order that accounting data is available for consolidation on time
• Participates at ad-hoc internal projects (tax planning and structuring, transfer pricing, mergers, de-mergers, acquisitions of new projects, disposals of subsidiaries) and other, eg. Management Controllership tasks as necessary
• Ensures uniform accounting policies are adhered to within the Group
• Understands key business models, proactively seeks to improve and simplify processes where necessary
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal customers
• Deals with and provides information to external auditor (annual audits, transaction audits)
• Communicates with external tax and accounting advisors
