Virtualization (VMware) administrator

• Operation of VMware vSphere environments.
• Troubleshooting related problems within the virtual environment.
• 2nd and 3rd level on-duty support in non-office hours.
• Primary focus on complex vmware tasks and 3rd level support
• Support during implementations, incident involvement, scripting and proposal of alternatives and solutions
• Handling of corporate processes and requirements in Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration Management
• Delivering/supporting of Root Cause analysis within scope of responsibilities for major issues
• Able to contribute to the definition of IT technology strategy, standards and roadmaps (in senior level of expertise)
• Understanding of DR and HA concepts (in senior level of expertise)
• Mentoring of the colleagues within the team (in senior level of expertise)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required Skills:
• VCP5 / 6x Certified.
• VMware vSphere Management (at least 5 years).
• Experience with large (+300 hosts) VMware vSphere environments.
• Additional knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: SRM, Horizon, NSX.
• VMware deep-diving for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Understanding Disaster Recovery concepts
• Experience with large virtualization related projects – new environment build, migrations etc.
• Ability to design basic vmware infrastructure based on project requirements
• Knowledge of storage and networking technologies.
• 2nd and 3rd level on-duty support during non-office hours.
• Communication capacities, technical leadership, crisis management, able to work under pressure.

Valuable/Desirable skills:
• Hewlett-Packard and Cisco UCS blades knowledge.
• Knowledge of Scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, VBScript, Powercli).
• Storage or Networking vendor-related certification.
• Experience of working with ITIL procedures.
• Basic knowledge in Windows, Unix/Linux and centralized storage
• Microsoft Hyper-V experience. Installation and maintenance of Hyper-V based environment

Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology telecommunications, electrical engineering or a related engineering.
• Fully proficient in English.
• Comfortable with working in an international collaborative environment.
