Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The purpose of this role is to maintain the proper level of Health and Safety (H&S) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) in the site within the scope of applicable labour law and corporate standards. Supervision and coordination of work of subordinate employees and subcontractors. Providing awareness in the field of H&S and Business Continuity Management (BCM) as well as cooperation with the SHEQ and BCM structure of the country level. Responsibility for implementation and maintaining of Corporate BCM 10 Step Program on the site.

• Supervision of cooperation with the H&S service provider for the organization
• Coordination of H&S and BCM activities
• Systematic identification and elimination of occupational and accidental hazards by carrying out preventive and corrective actions in cooperation with H&S service provider and HSE Country Lead
• Implementation of the annual plan implemented as part of building a work safety management system
• Participation in the risk assessment process
• Consulting and professional customer service of the internal customer
• Coordinating and conducting trainings in the area of H&S and fire protection
• Help the Managers to properly introduce the employee to work
• Support country Lead and sites in implementation, maintenance and development management systems (OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001) and corporate programs (Safety First 7 Steps and BCM 10 Steps) – Champion does the job according to country Lead’s instructions
• Support the sites in regular LOGICS Reporting (H&S and BCM modules)
• Coordination of H&S and BCM external, internal and client audits of the company
• Supervision of H&S and BCM documentation. Providing new and revised documents
• Taking a part in developing short-term and long-term audit plans, schedule the annual Internal Audit Plan, implement them timely and make modifications as needed all in cooperation with HSE Country Lead
• Audit of organizational units in accordance with H&S and BCM standards (according to the company's certificates and corresponding documentation) in accordance with the individual rights issued by the certification bodies.
• Reports to Country HSE Lead in H&S and BCM matter ; escalates issues and risks to Country HSE Lead
• Supervising the effectiveness of the implementation of post-audit, corrective actions, reporting of audits
• Training in H&S and BCM.
• Preparing reports for periodic reviews of management, board
• Active participation in Business Development actions and business tender projects, represent H&S and BCM area
• Act as an Internal Auditor role

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

• Some years with supply chain, HSE and BCM environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work without supervision
• Process driven and good planning skills
• Good analytical thinking and numerical skills
• Detailed knowledge of H&S matters, systems and standards
• Degree in H&S and BCM (desirable)
• IT literate
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Accredited certificate in H&S, Quality in local language (desirable)
• Slovak language – native speaker
• English - fluent
