Job description, responsibilities and duties
Mission:
As General Ledger Accountant you will be responsible for reconciling of all vendor accounts, customer accounts and general ledger accounts, timely and accurately, with consistent, measurable compliance with the corporate policies governing General Ledger Accounting. You will also be responsible for creation and maintenance of fixed assets, processing of depreciation runs. You will be processing exchange rate entries, loan interest entries and royalty entries, posting of manual journal entries, managing month-end close activities. Finally, you will continuously focus on process improvements, growth in efficiency, and partner with other team members to expedite projects driven by these goals.

- Reconciliation of vendor accounts, customer accounts and general ledger accounts in accordance with policies and procedures as assigned by specific role definition
- Bank account reconciliation in accordance with policies and procedures as assigned by specific role definition
- Inventory and sales reconciliation
- Clean-up of accounts
- Creation and maintenance of fixed assets, processing of depreciation runs
- Preparation and posting of manual journal entries
- Preparation and posting of exchange rate entries, loan interest entries and royalty entries
- Analysis of month-end close and year-end close reports
- Managing booking period closure
- Cross-training with personnel in other functional areas, as required.
- Other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, experience with accounting in a SSC is an advantage
- English Advanced and German at communicative level
- Working knowledge of current versions of Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Motivated self-starter with strong organization and multi-tasking abilities
