Job description, responsibilities and duties

As our Embedded System Software Developer you will specify, implement and validate complex peripheral drivers for real-time embedded control software. Within a new team supporting projects for our innovative electric drive systems, you will develop software for control and regulation technology on Tricore embedded architecture. Additionally, you will use tool-assisted documentation and specification as well as version control management to align with team members and ensure safe and quality software products for our customers. You will also work with our continuous build and integration environment and align with PLUS+1 Operating System platform contributors.

For this role we require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and ideally several years of experience in complex embedded software development using C. You also have a good understanding of microcontroller and memory architectures as well as on-chip and off chip peripherals. Additionally, we would like to see:
• Familiarity with hardware debug tools such as debuggers (JTAG), protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes and multi-meters
• Experience with ARM and/or Tricore embedded architectures
• Being comfortable in daily English communication
• Detail-oriented with the ability and interest to see things in a broader perspective
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and intercultural environment in a large organization
• Ideally some experience around Microsoft Azure DevOps
