Transactional Procurement Team Lead

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fully responsible for the monitoring and leading of the assigned PO execution team operational Buyers (Junior Buyers/ Buyers/ Senior Buyers), including steering, workload allocation, scheduling and review of performed work.
  • Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro of agreed policies and procedures by team members.
  • Understand service level agreements and key performance indicators for Procurement related business processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of Procurement data, such as received purchase requisitions, purchase orders
  • Supports on solving escalations and root cause analysis of the procurement issues with proposal of necessary steps to be taken
  • Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements and acts as first contact in case of escalations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team members as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and / or effectiveness of the Procurement transaction processing.
  • Responsible for all HR relevant topics within his/her team.
  • Participation in international projects in the area of Procurement.
  • Sustainable development of the employees and their individual performance.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Degree in business or technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in Procurement operations, preferably in a Service Center environment, with a thorough knowledge of Procurement and business processes.
  • Proven knowledge of SAP and typical other IT-tools.
  • Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure.
  • Excellent leadership to lead the whole team in the right spirit to achieve the objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to new culture and people.
  • Strong focus on details by prioritizing topics based on aligned timeline.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively present concepts to cross-functional teams, customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English, other languages (especially German) are of andvantage
