The Accountant for Tax Accounting ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Tax Accounting transactions in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements. Assists Local tax departments in compiling tax information / reports (VAT and tax refund), actively involved in the result follow-up activities.

Major tasks and responsibilities
◦Contribute to the tax set-up
◦Country specific manual tax processes
◦Tax data review and preparation
◦Follow-up activities related to the Tax Accounting plausibility checks
◦Support the preparation of different Tax reports
◦Tax payment and adjustment
◦Management of tax audit queries
◦Compile system maintenance´s needs and checks correctly/ on time.
◦System maintenance
◦Tax Accounting activities for other local taxes
◦Withholding tax related activities

• Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures.
• Understand service level agreements and key performance indicators for Tax Accounting related processes.
• Contribute to the continuous maintenance and the update of Tax Accounting process activities and procedures.
• Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.
• Assists the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Tax Accounting transaction processing.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Several years working experience in finance and/or accounting dept. or other similar positions and basic knowledge on system settings and internal controls,
• Good interpersonal and communications skills,
• Familiar with MS office (especially MS Excel) and related software,
• Experience with ERP Accounting Software / SAP is required,
• Good knowledge English in writing and speaking
• Other European language of advantage

The offered salary for this position is € 1,400 gross. This salary is the minimum possible offer and may be higher depending on the scope and seniority of employee requirements.
