Junior Accountant - Management Accounting

The Junior Accountant for Internal Accounting ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Internal Accounting transactions in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements. The Junior Accountant reports to the respective Team Lead Internal Accounting.

Major Tasks and responsibilities:
Supports the day to day Internal Accounting operations for the following process areas:

• Support in maintenance of SAP CO master data
• Contribute in checking cost allocations
• Manage Profit Center Accounting
• Perform Product Costing standard costs
• Perform Product Costing actual costs and Inventory valuation

Ensure the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures.
Understand service level agreements and key performance indicators for Internal Accounting related processes.
Achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.
Assists the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Internal Accounting transaction processing.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• University degree or equivalent experience, preferable in business administration or finance
• Suitable for fresh graduates
• Some experience in business administration in an international business environment of advantage
• Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting
• Experience in SAP of advantage
• Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure
• Ability to adapt to an international culture and people
• Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs
• Good communication skills
• English
