We are Clarios Slovakia and we power our state-of-art energy storage solutions. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our RTR department. Do you wonder what RTR is and what it does?
 
Our Record to Report (RTR) team is responsible for completing general accounting transactions across the business portfolio, whilst at the same time, ensuring that we meet our internal and external reporting and control requirements. This role provides excellent opportunities to apply existing skills in a complex and interesting environment, whilst developing your professional profile through the use of various ERPs, directly enhancing your career potential.
 
Are you interested what your task will be?
• Complete General Accounting activity for a specific country and partners
with the business to ensure that the business needs are being met whilst at the
same time ensuring that Clarios meets all its internal and external reporting
and control requirements
• Complete the preparation and posting of accruals as required as a part of the monthly financial reporting process
• Complete the balance sheet reconciliation activities per service level agreement
• Review income statement and balance sheet discrepancies and escalate to the
management when necessary
• Perform sales and gross margin reconciliation and accompanying analysis
• Complete assigned accounting activities to support the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
 • Assist, when needed, with internal and external audits
• Support the timely reporting of key financial information
• Monitor the performance and quality of the activities performed based on
agreed Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) and Service Level Agreements
(“SLAs”)
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP accounting rules, where
applicable
• Ensure compliance with Clarios accounting policies, procedures and
processes
• Operate within a robust SOX and internal control environment
 
What are we looking for?
• Business education degree or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting
• Very good accounting and reporting overview and knowledge
• Proficiency in MS-Office (MS Excel – advanced – tables, charts, formulas, pivot tables, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint PowerPoint),
• ERP experience (e.g. SAP)
• Very good communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Willingness to develop your skills and work on yourself
• Client oriented attitude

The starting salary is at min 1 700 EUR/month gross for candidates who meet our minimum criteria.

This role requires to work 25% US Time.

• Working patterns for US shift are 13:30 – 22:00 (Mon – Friday)
• There are extra benefits for employees covering US time:
• 30% hourly bonus for every complete shift worked US time
