Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are developing the teaching of Music in our school. From November we require around 14 x 45 minute lessons a week of Music teaching to 6 to 14 year old students. This will increase as time goes by and more students take Music. Additionally, we would like a Music teacher who can contribute to school performances - not so much specialist performances as general shows where everyone can take part and enjoy musical performances - for instance, musical plays.

Initially it might suit a part-time or agreement based teacher. Eventually it will become full-time. From November a full-time post could be created with the appointed teacher making up their hours in music clubs, organizing performances, supporting in other classes, offering after-school Music clubs, etc. So the role is totally flexible to suit the needs of the appointed person.
