Job Description
One of the main tasks in this role is identifying, building up, strengthening and ensuring a long-term customer relationship with selected existing and potential key customers and key opinion leaders in hospitals and private practices. The BCM has the sales management responsibility for a set of defined Biogen products, visits stakeholders and relevant healthcare professionals with the goal to give them scientific information and increase the revenues in the assigned territory.
Beyond that the BCM is also responsible for the bundling of all employees who visit the key customers to ensure a consistent appearance of the company. He is also supporting material development linked to the assigned Brand, utilizing resources provided by Biogen, implementing local marketing strategies and organizing programs and related efforts that will positively impact SHs’ understanding of and interest in the assigned products.
The time allocation for the Brand Customer Manager is 70% sales/ customer facing and 30% on developing materials that is needed to service the accounts. The position is 100% field-based.

Responsibilities

• Achieving sales goals: works towards achievement of sales goals and sales responsibility set by the organization; prioritizes activities that drive market share; applies marketing and business strategy/tactics in order to maximize sales outcomes.
• Business planning: develops and executes an annual national & territory business plan that includes prioritized goals, quantitative and qualitative sales objectives for defined product; uses internal and external data to analyze the national & regional market regarding the development of revenues in relation to competitors and to identify viable opportunities and/or critical trends; creates specific product & account plans for the key customers, defines quarterly and annual targets, integrates relevant information from departments (e.g. Marketing, Market Access, Medical); develops and ensures close relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders; drive market expansion and product & portfolio management in alignment with product & account strategy; coordinates and utilizes available resources (programs, luncheons, materials); prepares and executes business reviews for the assigned product within predefined time periods.
• Leveraging and coordinating resources: takes lead role in mobilizing resources in support of customer needs; works closely with Sales and Marketing Manager and colleagues in the analysis and classification of key accounts based on predefined criteria within the assigned territory and in the identification of potential key customers; collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional partners to advance programs and initiatives; organizes meetings and events for HCPs and other stakeholders.
• Supporting successful patient outcomes: Closely tracks progress of new patients starting treatment (as appropriate in the geography and according to law requirements/restrictions). Educates healthcare providers and other stakeholders regarding access and reimbursement programs (as appropriate in the geography). Ensures availability of product (where applicable), interacts appropriately with internal compliance experts to ensure efforts are aligned with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintaining best in class knowledge: Demonstrates industry-leading understanding of disease state, products (BIIB and competition), clinical practices, market dynamics, and healthcare systems. Proactively seeks external opportunities for learning, including conferences, seminars, and professional associations; participates actively in training to acquire and advance knowledge.
• Conducting administrative follow-through: Keeps timely documentation (e.g., expense reports, compliance related, CRM system, reports side effects to drug safety) and provides inputs required for planning and coordination.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of pharmaceutical/health care sales and product management experience, preferably in specialty sales/clinic specialist in relevant therapy areas, ideally neurology
• Proven and sustained track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals
• Minimum of 2 years hospital sales experience
• Excellent communication skills, competent partner at all levels
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Drive and desire for success, result-orientated
• Knowledge of relevant health care policy aspects, legal aspects and clinical studies
• Collaborating proactively with both cross-functional partners and other colleagues in the affiliate


Education

• Bachelor/Master degree, preferably in the sciences medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biology;
