Job description, responsibilities and duties
BIC has in Slovakia (Sered) European Packaging Centre and Central-Eastern Europe Distribution Centre, packing significant part of BIC EU sales and distributing up to 40 countries. We are looking for Logistic Operations Coordinator to join local Logistic Operations team to help us with distribution activity coordination. Warehousing activity is subcontracted to logistic provider and transport is provided by several carriers.
Responsibilities/tasks:
- coordination of distribution activities:
- coordinate activities between local customer service, logistic provider and carriers
- ensure customer orders are prepared, shipped and delivered on time
- define and order right transport capacities
- manage priorities, claims and returns
- follow monthly carrier's KPI's and corrective actions
- control transport invoices and follow cost evolution vs. budget
- optimize costs by improving load optimization, order preparation at the WH
- support purchasing team and brief definition for transport tenders
- participation in projects linked to activity optimization with focus to keep service level and cost under control
