Job description, responsibilities and duties

Main purpose of this function is to develop the business tool portfolio of the company,by developing/streamlining databases, managing and enabling data exchanges from to different sources.

As part of the team in charge of installing, operating, developing the business tool portfolio and associated databases for the company activities worldwide, your task will more specifically to :

  • support and monitor the performance of existing data pipelines
  • develop the new data pipelines including:
  • reviewing data sources;
  • security and performance considerations;
  • extract, transform and load techniques;
  • defining data storing approach
  • develop the new reports using Microsoft PowerBI or PowerQuery
  • ensure the communication and training in the use of the tools and databases
  • feed the continuous improvement process with the goal to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction

This comprises of plant data retrieval, analysis and machine learning techniques for customers as well as the development of in-house tools for enhanced data integration and efficient data management. Data collection via IoT as well as the development of mobile applications in agile teams belong to the game.
The opening of a digital hub in Slovakia forms part of the strategy, with IT specialists in Slovakia to become a strong contributor within the international team.

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Degree in Computer Sciences / software engineering with experience as a Software developer, Systems or Data Engineer
  • Specific IT knowledge and solid experience with the following software or platforms
  • Experience in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • SQL ; SQL Server
  • Windows Server
  • SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Python
  • DAX; developing reports using Microsoft PowerBI or PowerQuery
  • Experience working for a large, multi-location organization,managing design and construction projects, ideally in energy sector
  • Good knowledge of project managementand working with different project disciplines, multiple locations and cultures
  • Customer and solution oriented
  • Based on experience, can identify possible solutions, adapt to the situation and implement
  • Shows a lot of initiative and can work independently. High flexibility
  • Interest in engineering and project management processes used for the design, construction, operations of EFW plants
  • Didactic skills (training + support for internal and external stakeholders)
  • Languages:English (spoken + written). German and other languages a plus
