Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Act as the first point of contact for all IT questions via telephone/ticketing system/email. Identifying, prioritizing and troubleshooting all issues.
• Log all relevant incident/service request details, allocating categorization and prioritization code dependent on business impact.
• Identify and provide end user training requirements where possible.
• Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Install, upgrade, configure, support and troubleshoot Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office and any other authorized desktop applications.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware, mobile devices and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
• To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications.
• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisation.

Our successful candidate will have experience in an IT Service Desk or Call Center role and have a good awareness of messaging systems, active directory, desktop operation systems, Microsoft office 365 and the ability to prioritize support requests dependent on priority.
• Experience of a 1st line support environment
• Ability to work well within a team but also to work unsupervised to monitor the environment
• Ability to follow company processes and procedures and ensure others adhere to these
• Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
• Basic User & Security Group Active Directory administration
• Excellent, logical trouble shooting
• Positive can-do attitude
• Excellent customer service skills
