Job description, responsibilities and duties
This position is for a Backup Storage Administration, that provides technical support and administration for the NetBackup, TSM and Avamar enterprise environments
Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor Backup job failures and other alerts
Provide Break/Fix for chronically failing backups, working with other teams to arrive at solution
Support restoration efforts during system outages
Assess and upgrade backup software on backup infrastructure and clients
Work with project teams to implement new backup solutions
Improve backup success by identifying and implementing areas of improvement
Communicate results orally and in writing regarding new processes, projects and in regular status reports
