ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A programmer with advance software design and development skills, responsible for designing and implementing the end to end web applications including database, middleware and front end design and development for multiple applications.
  • Assess, organize and analyze requirements. Develop and document system specifications.
  • Design and implement solutions using Agile/Rapid Development methodology.
  • Design and develop data structure and Oracle databases/tables including database partitioning, database performance monitoring and tuning; database backup and replication.
  • Develop quality Controls for data mining and data management.
  • Design and develop Software (web based or otherwise) for decision support systems, workflow management, data mining/modeling applications.
  • Write code and complete programming and documentation using programming language and technology in Unix/Linus and/or web environment. Perform testing and debugging of applications.
  • Setup and administer document/file transfer/repository systems such as FTP, SSH, Sharepoint
drive or other similar technologies.
  • Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.

Personality requirements and skills

Required Skills:
  • Database Design and Development, database jobs, Oracle SQL and PLSQL
  • Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, log4j
  • SOME Server knowledge on tomcat or weblogic
  • Software version control like SVN or GIT
  • Web Dev, HTML, JS, CSS, XML, Java Script
  • Unix/Linux cmd utilities, shell scripting
  • Ability to analyze, manage and process large data volumes

  • MS Degree preferred in Computer Science / Engineering / Math
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in software development using skill sets indicated above
  • Fluent English

Qualifications:
Management/Leadership Skills
  • Ability to work with the application users, document user requirements and develop system specifications.
  • Ability to work with other programmers, share knowledge and collaborate to deliver applications more efficiently.
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time when required.
  • Work with users and other team members who are internationally based.
