Job description, responsibilities and duties

The regional finance permanent controller is responsible for controlling and limiting the entities’ accounting risks by performing 2nd level controls and supporting countries to develop and strengthen their internal control system and finance processes.

Main mission:

  • Ensure the interface between Corporate FPC function and the local finance departments
  • Ensure the implementation of sound and relevant permanent control frameworks at local level and the periodic update of these frameworks
  • Provide assistance to Arval entities/platforms on matters related to finance permanent control
  • Ensure that the local FACT (Finance Accounting Control Tool) certification processes (D+12, D+26, etc.) are efficient in terms of exhaustiveness, documentation, review and analysis quality…
  •  Ensure harmonization and uniformity where possible within the region, especially for entities sharing mutual platforms
  • Perform second level controls on finance related processes
  • Review and challenge the form and content of local finance related procedures
  • Follow improvement action plans resulting from risk mappings, control results, operational incidents ...
  • Follow the implementation of internal and external recommendations (Statutory Auditors, Regulators, Internal Auditors, etc)
  • Challenge Permanent Control Reporting and other KPIs produced by entities / platforms (Target)
  • Participate in local Internal Control Committees or at least be recipient of the committee minutes
  • Raise alerts to local management and Corporate FPC function
